For couples traveling to DC from out-of-town, our services make getting married here a snap. DC’s favorable marriage laws enable us to obtain your marriage license in advance, so all you need to do is show up and get married. While it’s common for most couples to stay in DC for a few days, many of the couples we marry come to DC, get married, and leave the same day. We even offer rush services and same-day marriages in DC for couples who need to be married as soon as possible.

Once you’ve chosen a service type, the elopement packages and upgrades available for that service type are listed on that page. The options for our DC elopement packages differ depending on the service type, with full pricing for each package listed right on our website. STEP 3: Choose Your Location & Date(s)
After you’ve decided which package best fits your needs, the next steps are:
Choose Your Location
Choose your own location anywhere within the DC city limits for your elopement ceremony, such as your hotel or rental home, or select from our list of Standard DC Elopement Ceremony Locations. If you select a location which requires a permit or rental fee, please do not pay for it before checking our availability for your date, time and location or we may not be able to assist you.
Choose Your Potential Ceremony Date(s)
Once you’ve chosen a location where you’d like to get married, choose a few potential ceremony dates and check our availability. Because we have limited availability for each service on any given day, we strongly recommend that you contact us to check our availability before booking any flights or hotels. We’ll work with you to find a date and time that works for everyone, and guide you through the rest of the process!
For our Express Marriage license signing service, you may use our standard location free of charge, or choose to perform your license signing at any other location in DC for a $75 fee.
STEP 4: Book Your Services Online
Our online booking system makes it simple to reserve your date and the services you need. To reserve your services, simply:
Submit a Web Contact Form
Once you’ve chosen a package and picked a date (or at least have an idea of the date(s) you want) then fill out our contact form to start the booking process.
A member of our team will get in touch with you quickly to confirm your details and schedule your services.
Sign Our Digital Contract
After we’ve received your information and confirmed availability for your date, we’ll send you a secure digital contract to finalize your booking. The contract is valid for 48 hours after issuance to guarantee the date, time, and services selected.
Securely Submit License Info
If you’ve chosen a package that includes the DC Marriage Application by Proxy service (where we get your license for you), you’ll need to fill out that section of the digital contract and upload photos of your driver’s licenses. If you or your spouse-to-be do not both have valid US driver’s licenses, or if one or both of you is not a US citizen, you may need to provide notarized copies of your passport(s). If this is the case, contact us for more information.
Make a Secure Online Payment
After signing the digital contract, pay online with a credit or debit card to secure your date. You’ll receive a receipt from our booking system for your records.
